Architect, PhD, since his graduation from Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, and Alta Scuola Politecnica, he has been intertwining professional practice, research and teaching in a synergic path, operating in the Milanese and Italian context and with a special interest in the Mediterranean and Global South areas.

He is currently an Adjunct Professor and Post-doc Researcher at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, also teaching at the Master “Design for Development: Architecture, Urban Planning and Heritage in the Global South”. Within the same Department he has worked with the Measure and Scales of the Contemporary City Research Lab (MSLab) and the International Cooperation Lab, also lecturing for the Post Graduate Programme COOPERA(C)TION: knowledge and skills for sustainable cities in the Global South.

His research investigates the processes and spatial correlations of sustainable development in its inter-scalar framework, with a focus on integrated planning, urban architecture, landscape and public space design. He has been part of research initiatives and projects on these topics involving several academic institutions, local authorities and non-governmental such as Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Triulza, Fondazione Feltrinelli, AICS, and UN-Habitat Urban Planning and Design Branch.

On the professional practice side, he works freelance and collaborates with several architectural, urban and landscape design studios producing design concepts for complex programs at all scales. In 2014 he co-founded  UP! Design and Research Lab, that in 2015 is among the best young Italian studios selected by NIB-New Italian Blood.  Since 2018 he is Urban Design and Landscape Urbanism consultant for AG&P greenscape, a leading Italian landscape design firm.
